A short break for the new spouses:

We had, as I mentioned, plenty of food to select from.

After the meal was the wedding cake. What wedding would be complete without one of those little events that make a good story later? Tiffany made the lovely cake, using everyone's favorite frosting (Poor Man's Whipped Cream). But it was a hot day. So the cute little wedding cake topper took a walk ... it slipped off and fell to the ground! Emil was able to glue it back together, although they didn't find the foot until later. Here is the original look, and with a temporary topper while the real one was being repaired.

The cake was delicious.

Laura & Emil were very sweet, and since my birthday was the following day they brought out a cupcake with a birthday candle and sang happy birthday to me!

I have to include a few pictures of my dress. I hadn't given a thought about what to wear to the wedding. Luckily, my friend Lisa asked me. Oh, right, I had better actually wear something. So I made a dress & super-easy reversible jacket.
