Our first time to Oregon and Anne's first time to the USA West Coast happened this April. We went out for the wedding of Anne's nephew to an Oregon native. We had a lovely trip. Our photographs are divided up into a few albums. With these albums, remember that if you click on the I in the upper right you will see the descriptions we wrote about the photographs.
This first album covers our first week in Oregon, from our drive down from Portland to the time we spent in the Rogue River Valley. The Rogue River Valley is in southern Oregon between the Coastal Mountain Range and the Cascade Mountain Range.
The primary purpose of this trip was to attend the wedding of Jimmy and Melissa. The best pictures of this occasion are, of course, theirs. But here is a link to some that we took.
At the end of our stay in the Rogue River Valley, we decided to try ziplining:
There are few passes between the interior valleys and coastal Oregon. One nice option from the Rogue Vallye is to dip into California. We took advantage of that route to visit a Redwood Forest.
The last few days of our trip was driving north along the Oregon Coast. The first of our coastal albums is the southernmost section of Oregon.
The second coastal album centers around the city of Bandon.
North of Bandon we have lighthouses, many coastal scenes, and Sea Lions.
Night and morning number two on the Oregon coast, at Seal Rock.
And the last of our albums from the Oregon trip:
