Over near Lac-Bay a number of various birds can be seen. This 1st picture is a White Heron. The next picture is a Reddish Egret. The 3rd picture is a Reddish Egret in it's white phase.
In the picture with the Reddish Egret are a couple of Black-Winged Stilts. They always hang around in a crowd.
These stunning White-cheeked Pintail ducks were in the same area.
A pelican was almost a fictional character to me before I saw them live in Bonaire. Here is one on the sign for Lac-Bay; there were a number near by.
We also saw a couple of Royal Tern fishing at Lac Bay.
For these next two pictures the lighting was not cooperating. This colorful fellow is a Crested Caracara. And the next is a Tri-colored Heron.
The most exciting sighting of the week was definitely the Yellow-Crowned Night-Heron. It is a beautiful bird, and not seen very often on Bonaire.
Enough with the birds! One last page to this trip-report, which is of some sunsets.
