It was Spring (early May) when we were in the Boothbay Harbor area. This meant that there were many spring flowers in bloom. These include many familiar flowers, such as tulips and one of Anne's favorites, dandelions.
Greenery was also bursting forth.
In addition to the more familiar plants, there are the more unusual ones.
Most of the unusual ones were at the Maine Botanical Gardens. You might remember this fountain from previous years.
The Botanical Gardens also include the familiar, including this Magnolia Tree that was in full bloom.
So many different colors! White flowers provide a lovely contrast.
These flowers have interesting built-in contrast, with the blue centers and white tips.
Now we are moving back towards pink, from subtle to vibrant.
At first we thought "Oh, look at the pretty Rhododendrons!" but then we realized that the flowers had guests: Bumblebees.
We will finish this page with hard-working honeybees.
