Christmas 2007, in Connecticut

We went to Connecticut to spend time with Paul's family on the weekend before Christmas. It was a relaxed visit.

We had the Olive Oil Tasting. It was delicious. We sampled four different oils: Segreto Degli Iblei, Piccolo Minolo Dolce Verde (a perennial favorite), Laudemio Marchesi de' Frescobaldi, and Raineri Gold Foil. I regret to say that we forgot to take the camera out, so we don't have any pictures to share from this event. But here is a picture taken before hand, of Paul showing one of the olive oils.

Christmas Eve, however, we did have the camera out. Everyone came over to Grandma's house. There was food.

And there were presents.

And the required posed pictures (and out-take).

There was too much activity to get many pictures of the gifts. It was actually a little difficult to follow everything that was going on. But here are a few pictures of the gifts, including Paul having some confusion on what was packaging and what was a gift...

Then Christmas day was up at Laura's house. Here is the big table set-up:

And this poor little fellow lost a leg, then an arm, and probably his head eventually.

Have to share this picture: it is of Paul holding a photo of himself from high school. His father had this blown up and framed, and hung over Paul's bed, to help inspire him in his athletic efforts.

The village.

The annual Ron Sleeping photo. (He was actually just dozing this year, not really sleeping. But close enough.)

The photographers.

We did another Yankee Swap. There was only minimal swap in the gift swap this year. Of course, all the items were good for many different people so this isn't too much of a surprise.

for pictures of Mom D's decorations for Christmas. Also on that page are some pictures of a lovely flower arrangement arrived from Steve, a relative in Pennsylvania.
