Here is Mom opening up some gifts.
Note the flashy wrapping that Emily did on the 2nd present.
This picture of Jeremy is a touch dark because of the backlighting, but good enough to be seen.
We gave Jimmy another D&D adventure module, which he seemed to appreciate.
Uncle Matt was a hit with Keagan.
One final gift opening picture:
The weather outside was slightly frightful. It wasn't bad on the way up until Portland, but we saw 4 accidents from Portland to Matt's house. So Matt and Paul were checking the radar map, weather forecast, and travel reports.
The end result was that the storm was moving by us and to the shouth. So we left a little on the later side. The travelling was slow in Maine, bad in New Hampshire, and slow in Massachusetts. Luckily the NH portion was the shortest, because they need to do something better with the highway in that section. There was a noticeable difference at the border between NH and MA.
Cats will be cats. Here is Basil (? - I can't tell them apart) trying to get into a box that is too small. (Sorry about the quality of the picture - no flash - but it's so cute I'll share anyway.)
In the evening, while waiting for the storm to move a bit more south, we played Charades.
And a couple final pictures from the Christmas 2006 Maine gathering:
